Dana Okinawa, Instructor

Dana studied composition at Selkirk College and brings a wide range of performance experience to their teaching. They’ve performed across rock, folk, and jazz settings and currently play in a band with local drag artist Dust Cwaine, as well as alongside singer-songwriter Melissa Mansfield.

As an instructor, Dana teaches folk, pop, rock, fingerstyle guitar, and songwriting. Known for being engaging and approachable, they work wonderfully with students of all ages. Guitar, ukulele, bass, and music theory are among their main teaching focuses.
